Introduction:
According to the teachings imparted by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, to learn from Buddha to cultivate oneself, one must practice in accordance with the Xiaman Most Excellent Oceanic Mind Essence and the Most Excellent Enlightenment State of Emptiness Oceanic Mind Essence; abstain from doing any bad deeds, do all kinds of good deeds, and benefit living beings. Only this is the proper undertaking. That is why His Holiness the Buddha did not agree that the Exam of Lifting the Pestle onto the Platform should be conducted. In order to obtain the support of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III for conducting the Exam, the Holy Gurus deliberately set up a ruse and then requested that His Holiness the Buddha be present to observe the proceedings. Consequently, when H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III did come, the situation was set up in such a way that His Holiness the Buddha could not decline to help and took action to resolve the conundrum.            The criterion a Vajra King of Great Strength must meet is to lift the Pestle onto the Platform at a weight surpassing His base standard by 30 levels. That is the highest level. That is to say, throughout history, the maximum level that any powerful Champion of Great Strength, Tremendously Great Holy Guru of Marvelous Enlightenment, or Tremendously Great Holy Guru of Equal Enlightenment had been able to attain was 30 levels above Their base standard. Astonishingly, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III lifted the 420-pound Supreme Holy Vajra Pestle with one hand and held it for over 13 seconds, surpassing His base weight standard by 56 levels. It was proven that His Holiness the Buddha is an unprecedented Vajra King of Great Strength for Lifting the Pestle onto the Platform. The Holy Gurus said that the record set by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III clearly pointed to the fact that the intrinsic quality of His Holiness the Buddha is that of a true Buddha. They also said that this record was unprecedented in history and They dared to predict that no one in the future will ever be able to break this record.          This Supreme Holy Vajra Pestle is kept at the Holy Miracles Temple in California in the United States. All are welcome to come and, with sincere respect and piety, lift the Supreme Holy Vajra Pestle. Doing so will bring magnificent blessings and auspiciousness to you.
True Buddha Dharma Factually Manifests Realization Power, False Buddha Dharma Is Only Empty Theoretical Talk

February 12, 2020 (Los Angeles)

In the Great Hall of Shakyamuni Buddha at the Holy Miracles Temple, a Dharma Assembly about the true realization power of Buddha Dharma was held: The Exam of Lifting the Pestle onto the Platform. The purpose of this exam is to verify how the true realization power of Buddhist cultivators learning from Buddha to cultivate themselves changed the degree of the physical conditions of their bodies. Unexpectedly, this Exam inadvertently required the involvement of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III who was compelled and could not decline the request to resolve a difficult situation.

What is meant by Lifting the Pestle onto the Platform? Vajra pestles are commonly found in shops selling cultural relics and antiques. These pestles range from 10 to 400 jins, equivalent to approximately 11 to 440 pounds. This kind of huge pestle is from Tibet; they are called Platform Pestles. They come in different styles such as the Phurba Pestle, Five-pronged Pestle, Nine-pronged Pestle, Kalachakra Vajra Pestle, Yamataka Vajra Pestle, Guhyasamâja Vajra Pestle, and more. Some Platform Pestles were made during the Era of Sutra, Illusion and Mind at the Early Propagation Period. Some Platform Pestles of correct standard were made based on the system revamped by Guru Padmasambhava during the Later Propagation Period. People commonly regard these as art objects. Rarely do people know that the pestles were in fact used for directly testing practitioners’ realization power from practicing true or false Buddha Dharma in ancient time. Those who were tested were required to lift the vajra pestle off the ground, hold it for a required duration of time and then place the pestle onto the platform. This kind of test is called Lifting the Pestle onto the Platform.

Proven by real practice, using one hand to lift a Platform Pestle is extremely difficult. Someone who can lift 1,000 jins (approximately 1,100 pounds) with two hands cannot even lift 300 jins (approximately 330 pounds) off the ground with one hand. According to the Dharma rules, each person has a weight standard that they have to reach based on their respective age and body weight. One who reaches their standard is called a Healthy Physique Man. Exceeding the level of Healthy Physique Man is surpassing the standard. Going below the level of Healthy Physique Man is subpar. There are a total of 30 levels above, and five levels below.

Lifting the Pestle onto the Platform is the most scientific testing mechanism for verifying whether a person is of ordinary physical condition or possesses the composition of a holy person. The physical composition and condition of a holy person is completely different from that of an ordinary person. Both have the appearance of a person. However, their inner properties are completely different. Just like a pigeon and an eagle. They have the same appearance of a bird, but their inner properties and their strength are vastly different. Such differences naturally exist. A professional strong man trains himself every day, and only after 10 or up to 20 years is he able to become a strong man of exceptionally strong physique. However, his physique is strengthened due to cumulative practices. The essential quality of his physique has not changed. He is unable to transform the physique or functions of an ordinary person and cannot become liberated from the ordinary to become holy. A holy one who has learned and practiced true Buddha Dharma can surpass the physical condition and strength of a strong man of great strength by many times.

One who surpasses their weight standard by 12 to 19 levels is an elementary level Holy Guru, by 20 to 25 levels is a mid-level Holy Guru and surpassing 26 to 29 levels is a Great Holy Guru. When one surpasses the maximum level of 30, one is a Tremendously Great Holy Guru and a Vajra King of Great Strength. Normally, it is very difficult for an ordinary man of good strength to surpass two to three levels. A national level strong man can surpass up to nine levels. A world-class strong man can surpass 10 levels, but not beyond that. The holy strength generated by the body of a holy person is absolutely not something anyone with the physique of an ordinary person can hope to attain. This is especially true for lifting the Supreme Holy Vajra Pestle “Onto the Golden Step,” or “Off the Holy Seat.” Lifting the weight of such a level will cause the bones, tendons, and muscles of an ordinary person to break down and their joints to break apart. One must have the physique and strength of a Tremendously Great Holy Guru in order to lift the Supreme Holy Vajra Pestle. We have personally seen the strongest man in Asia Long Wu perform Lifting the Pestle onto the Platform. Although he broke his fingers and bled while doing so, he did eventually surpass 10 levels and was awarded the golden belt of Grand Master of Strength, World’s Strongest Man for Lifting the Pestle onto the Platform. That was terrific.

On February 9, there was a huge vajra pestle of 420 pounds inside the Hall of Shakyamuni Buddha at the Holy Miracles Temple. That was the Supreme Holy Vajra Pestle that was placed on the Golden Step during a Dharma Assembly held two days earlier by Holy Gurus. Other than Tremendously Great Holy Gurus, no one in this world has ever been able to lift it one bit. Since the Supreme Holy Vajra Pestle was already placed onto the Golden Step, the Exam of Lifting the Pestle onto the Platform could not be conducted. This was because according to the Dharma rules, when this Pestle is on the Golden Step, the Vajra Hook cannot be used to lift any pestle. Otherwise, it is against the rules. Everyone was very worried and all those who have good physical strength came forward, but no one was able to lift that Pestle off the Holy Seat with one hand. They used their utmost effort to lift this Pestle off the Golden Step, but the Pestle did not move one bit. The Dharma Assembly could not proceed. It happened that H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III had accepted a respectful request to make His presence at this Dharma Assembly to observe the proceedings. Everyone then beseeched H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III to resolve this difficult situation.

H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III said: “From the beginning, I have disagreed with your conducting this exam. After all this time, all those who were tested were but ordinary people. How many of them are elementary level Holy Gurus? They are not Holy Gurus, they could not surpass more than 10 levels! Let whoever put this pestle onto the Golden Step take it down.” The Dharma masters replied that it was placed up there by a Holy Monk. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III said: “This is absolutely a mischief. Isn’t this a deliberate intention to make things difficult? He clearly knew that you have to take the Exam today, yet He deliberately set up such a difficult barrier here! Let Him take it down!” The Dharma masters said that this Holy Monk had already left yesterday to propagate Dharma in another state. Reluctantly, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III ascended to the Dharma platform and said: “I did not come to take part in your activities here to lift the pestle, I am just helping you. I will give it a try. I don’t know yet whether I am able to help you bring the pestle down.

After saying that, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III went in front of the Supreme Holy Vajra Pestle, and lifted the Vajra Pestle off the Holy Seat with one hand, the Golden Step was removed in accordance with the Dharma rules. At that time, the disciples were tremendously shocked that H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, who only weighs between 100 and 200 pounds, have lifted a Vajra Pestle of 420 pounds that even the World’s Strongest Man with a body weight of more than 300 pounds could not lift, surpassing 56 levels. The holy physique and holy strength of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III stuns the world!

Although the Supreme Holy Vajra Pestle was lifted off the Golden Step, there was another 280-pound exam pestle on another Golden Step on the floor. This pestle also had to be lifted off the Golden Step before the Exam could go forward. In fact, everyone knew that no one on site could lift this pestle with one hand off the Golden Step. Even the Strongest Man in Asia Lu Xiao could only lift the weight of 226 pounds at his maximum limit the prior December. Today, all the strong men on site enthusiastically came forward to lift this Vajra Pestle. Among these people were some who could lift 700-800 pounds with two hands in a normal weightlifting competition. Surprisingly, they could not lift 280 pounds with one hand today. In the end, only H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha IIIwas able to lift this pestle off the Golden Step with one hand. The Dharma Assembly of the Exam was finally able to proceed.

This unexpected incident that happened before the exam has brought a mysterious and surprisingly joyful discovery. In turns out the rejuvenation achieved by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha IIIwas not limited to the physical appearance, but also included the inner properties. The youthful qualities of His Holiness the Buddha are very many times more than that of young people.

Kaichu Jiaozun of the World Buddhism Association Headquarters, a disciple of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, said, “I dare say for certain here, except for H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III who has such holy power, any Dharma king, great rinpoche or Dharma master in this world cannot even think about lifting the Supreme Holy Vajra Pestle one bit!” Kaichu Jiaozun has never practiced any kind of exercises or strength training to improve His physical well-being or learned any martial arts. He is simply a scholarly person who cultivates His conduct, practices meditation and Dharma. This elderly Holy Guru is only two years from 90 years old, and His body weight is less than 190 pounds. Three of His fingers are deformed due to an old injury. Yet surprisingly, He was able to use his crippled hand to lift an Elementary Level Holy Person Pestle onto the Platform according to the Dharma rules, surpassing 16 levels. It is proven that a holy person who has attained a high level of realization does possess supernormal physical condition and strength. Ten years ago, this elderly Holy Guru publicly demonstrated His inner strength from practicing Corpse Pose Tummo Concentration Dharma transmitted by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. His abdomen emits heat reaching 92 degrees Celsius and an egg that was placed on His abdomen was cooked. Surprisingly, at the age of 88 now, He was able to lift the Vajra Pestle with one hand and surpassed the strongest man in Asia Lu Xiao by 14 levels. Can this be done by a human being? It can only be said that this is a god!

People attending the Dharma Assembly unanimously recognized that Lifting the Pestle onto the Platform is the most direct testing mechanism to distinguish between true and false Buddha Dharma, or true and false holy ones. It can be clearly seen who is an ordinary person and who is a holy one simply by means of Lifting the Pestle onto the Platform. What is most incomprehensible is why the physique and strength of professional strong men, who do strength training every day, would be incomparable to that of someone who does none of that strength training but only cultivates His conduct and practices meditation?

For example, Lu Xiao represented China in the World’s Strongest Man Competition in Malaysia and won the Championship in November 2014. In 2017, he pulled a 184-ton train forward for 20 meters in a New Year’s Gala that was broadcast on TV in Liaoning. On December 27, 2019, at the age of 36 and with the body weight of 350 pounds, he lifted the Pestle onto the Platform in Shenyang, and successfully surpassed his standard by two levels. Yet an elderly Holy Buddhist Guru who is almost 90 years old, and with a body weight between 180 and 190 pounds, was able to surpass Lu Xiao by 14 levels! His Master, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, is even more inconceivable. Except for one with the innate quality of a Buddha, who could have achieved that? Believe it or not, the fact is right there. No tricks could be used. That was a direct lift of an actual weight. Other than marveling at and recognizing the profundity of Buddha Dharma power, what else can we say? Through this event, the fulcrum supporting all that ambiguous, mystical and empty talks throughout Buddhist history is finally broken. The truth has been revealed through the real fact!

Inconceivable True Examples of Causality

—killing fishes

This true example is the personal experience of Mr. Tsai who lives in Donggang Township of Pingtung County, told by himself. He is 41 years old this year. He owns a metal processing factory and also does the business of yacht renting. His financial situation is quite good and he also has a very happy family. Because he has grown up by the sea, he is very good at swimming. In the past, he rescued quite a few people who either unintentionally fell into water or were trying to commit suicide. Therefore, he can be regarded as a warm-hearted kind person. However, he also is addicted to a hobby, which is his passion for diving and shooting fish in his spare time. He said that when shooting the fish, he mostly aimed at the fish’s belly. This is because other parts of the fish have thick and hard muscles and thus it is not easy to penetrate through the fish. The fish has a better chance to escape. If the fish is shot at the belly, its intestine would quickly burst out while the fish is struggling. In that case, it will be very easy to catch the fish. For several years, he always engaged in such activities as a favorite pastime and did not feel anything improper in doing so at all.

On the 20thday of the 12thmonth of the lunar calendar of 1981, an unfortunate incident finally occurred. On that day, his friend drove a motorcycle to take him to Wandan Town to handle some matter. At 7 pm when they were on the way of returning to Donggang, their motorcycle had a face-on collision with an oncoming truck. After falling to the ground, Mr. Tsai was run over by the truck’s rear wheel on his abdomen. Right there, he burst open in the middle and all his entrails gushed out. The bloody wound was too miserable to look at. At that time, although Mr. Tsai had suffered such a severe injury, his mind was still quite clear. He saw that the miserable wound he had suffered was almost the same as the situation of the fish being shot at the belly. Then, he immediately realized how painful, tormented, sad, and angry the fish’s feeling was at the time of being shot!

Right after, his friends immediately took him to several well-known big hospitals in the city of Kaohsiung one by one. But the hospitals all declined to admit him due to the severity of his injury. Mr. Tsai could not stand their lack of morality of saving life and scolded them furiously. Later, he was brought to Surgeon Chiu’s clinic, where he was accepted after repeated earnest requests. After being treated for one week, he was still not out of the critical condition. He was then transferred to Surgeon Xiao’s clinic to take another chance. With the doctor’s meticulous treatment and care, his life was finally saved. Altogether, he had five surgeries, with three in the abdomen, one at the perineum, and one on his right thigh. The treatments had to reconnect his intestines, ureter, and the broken thigh bone. He was hospitalized for seven months before returning home to continue recuperating.

His experience of getting his life back from the near-death ordeal was regarded as a miracle by many medical professionals as well as his family members and relatives. People all believed that this probably had to do with Mr. Tsai’s good deeds of saving the lives of several people in the past. However, the unfortunate fact is that one who saves people but on the other hand, also kills fish for enjoyment still cannot escape from the due retribution. This incident is truly worthy of pondering deeply by people in the world to introspect themselves.

While Learning from the Buddha I Found My Life Companion

While Learning from the Buddha I Found My Life Companion

During my childhood, I always heard my elder-generation relatives saying, “We had better not to marry our daughters out. Otherwise, they may have a bad fate.”

I was always puzzled by their saying so. As I grew up in life, I saw the way of life between husband and wife among my elder-generation relatives. Their life is busy at home and busy with their children every day. After getting married, the husband and wife lack common interests and their relationship gradually turns into a relation like two parallel lines within the family. All day long they turn around and are occupied by the necessities of daily life. I gradually understood why the elder relatives would say so. Upon stepping into society, I cautiously remembered the advices from my elder relatives and even feared leading such a life.

I first met my companion during a social occasion. We did not immediately establish a contact after that. Sometime later, we connected again. I was just in a period of feeling lost in my life, having worked in society for two to three years. Because of lack of care to myself, warning signs appeared in my health. Seeing my classmates at school stepping into family life, I admire them very much. However, I also recalled the words spoken by my elder relatives about caution against a bad fate through marriage. I retreated again.

One day, an elder relative told me that everything is due to causality. Our getting ill is also due to causality. My mind was shaken by the words. It seemed that I found the answers to the puzzle I had toward my own life and to the warning signs in my health. While thinking of how to solve these issues, I went to the gate of a famous temple and stayed there for about five minutes. During this brief period of time, I recalled my experience from childhood when I was led by my elder relatives to come and chant sutras. I was told that if I follow the crowd to pay homage, I will be blessed. That experience did not leave me with a good impression. I did not feel that doing so could solve my issues of causality. So, I turned around and left.

Six months later, I met my companion again. That day, he invited me to go to the Buddha hall to respectfully listen to the recorded Dharma discourses expounded by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. The Dharma discourse we listened to is “Do You Clearly Believe in the Law of Cause and Effect?”  What I heard was like a round of loud thunder. I finally found the answer. Everything I have today is due to the causes I planted in the past. Although I did not have a complete understanding yet, I no longer had fear and felt lost. I also gradually knew what I should do through respectfully reading “What Is Cultivation?” expounded by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. The following passages from this Dharma expounded by His Holiness the Buddha caused me to benefit deeply, “Cultivation is cultivating the increase of good karma and cultivating the avoidance of bad karma. It is increasing good karmic conditions, planting good causes, and reaping good effects. It is avoiding the increase of bad karmic conditions, not planting bad causes, and avoiding the reaping of bad effects.” “The Law of Cause and Effect does not err. It cannot be eliminated. To say that it can is to take a nihilistic point of view. Hence, we can only build a wall of good karma, which is like building a retaining wall. This wall of good karma has the effect of blocking us from our evil karma. Thus, only through learning from the Buddha, cultivating the conduct of the Buddha, and ultimately becoming a Buddha can we thoroughly liberate ourselves from the karma (cause and effect) that binds us to the cycles of reincarnations. “

In 2014 we decided to get married and have our honeymoon in the United States to attend Buddhist events. We became husband and wife under such karmic conditions. Because we are respectfully listening to the recorded Dharma discourses expounded by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III together, we have the same idea on many things and mutually have a lot of accommodations and understandings. Such an outcome completely broke the prophecy of having a bad fate from a marriage that I heard in my childhood.

I am grateful to the compassionate blessing from H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. That enabled me to find my life companion. On the other hand, my companion caused me to establish my karmic connection with the true Dharma of Tathagatas.

I am grateful to H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III!

Inconceivable True Examples of Causality —killing ants

inconceivable-true-examples-of-causality-killing-ants-

There is a person who used to be very disgusted by the presence of ants. Every time when he saw many ants gathering in a corner or moving on the ground, he would lit a fire to burn them all without leaving even one alive. He enjoyed doing that for several years. As a result, countless ants had been burned to death by him. An unfortunate incident eventually happened. One day, the gas pipe in his home started to leak due to long-term tear and wear and lack of repair and caused an explosion while he turned on the gas. Being scared and startled, he ran over to shut off the gas. However, the fire was very strong and the temperature was very high. He suffered serious burn injury throughout his body. Due to the serious and urgent situation, he was sent to different major hospitals for emergency treatment. The doctors said at that time, more than 40% of his skin was scorched and his life was at risk. Therefore, he must stay in a large hospital for long-term treatment. It is a known fact that the treatment of scalded or scorched injuries is the most painful and risky process, which can be called torturing of hell occurring in the human world. Even if he is lucky to get his life back in the future, the skin will still have difficult-to-remove scars and the patient will have serious sequela. Therefore, what he went through was truly a horrible experience.

INCONCEIVABLE TRUE EXAMPLES OF CAUSALITY —KILLING ANIMALS

INCONCEIVABLE TRUE EXAMPLES OF CAUSALITY —KILLING ANIMALS

INCONCEIVABLE TRUE EXAMPLES OF CAUSALITY —KILLING ANIMALS

My family name is Chen. I live in Chiayi, Taiwan. Recently, I have heard about some stories of people cruelly killing animals and then encountering horrible retributions. I have no way to forget them from my memory. Therefore, I wanted very much to put these incidents into writing, to cause people in the world to raise their vigilance.
The first one was told recently by a friend of mine living in Sihu. It was about a deceased old farmer who was his next-door neighbor. While he was alive and making living from farming in the past, he often spread his harvested grains in his yard to dry under the sun. Sometimes, chickens and ducks of his neighbors came to eat the grains. This farmer was very furious to see that and immediately used a bamboo stick to expel them. However, the chickens and ducks still came to steal the food when he was not around. Due to his anger, this neighbor used a big fishing net to catch the chickens and ducks which stole food. Whenever he caught any of them, this farmer would break one leg of each of them by brutal force. Thus, those chickens and ducks would be in a miserable state of unable to walk. Since he was using such cruel means, many people tried to persuade him not to crucify animals in this way. However, he was still stubbornly indifferent and continued his acts. No one could have imagined that a few years later, this farmer was suddenly no longer able to walk. His two feet started to swell and then the muscles began to putrefy. The tremendous pain that he was experiencing often caused him to scream miserably. Although he looked for treatment everywhere and even tried to seek help from divination and other alternatives of spiritual power, there seemed to be no effect from any of these. He suffered in such torment for six years or more before he passed away.
According to many neighbors, during the last several months of his life, the farmer often shouted while on his sickbed, “Shoo! Shoo!” Meanwhile, his hands were also making the movement of pushing animals away. When people asked what he was doing, he said that he “saw” a group of chickens and ducks with broken legs coming and surrounding him. Moreover, each of them used its sharp and hard beak to hit and bite his legs, causing the skin and muscle on his legs to break and bleed and bringing him tremendous pain. That was why he had to often wave his hands and shout loudly to try to get rid of them. Unfortunately, such efforts were all futile and useless. Not long after, this farmer ended his miserable life under the torment of such pain and suffering.

Inconceivable True Examples of Causality—-Telling Lies

inconceivable-true-examples-of-causalitye

Editor’s Note:

This article describes a small matter which occurred several decades ago among average people. It can cause people to ponder deeply. It gives a serious caution to people in the world.

Inconceivable True Examples of Causality—-Telling Lies

Thirty years ago, the life of average people in Taiwan was still very poor and hard. Many people who were doing business had to go door to door to sell their goods.

Once, a merchant selling fabrics brought his goods to a place and showed them to a group of women. After making comments and appraisals, none of them wanted to buy. The merchant had to take the goods back. After counting, he found that one roll of fabrics was missing. Every one of the women present said that she had not taken it. Among them, one not only said that she had not taken it, but also swore, “Had I taken it, I would be hit and killed by an automobile.”

No one could have imagined that after this woman had returned to Kinmen, she was killed in a strange and peculiar auto accident, validating her oath that carried a fatal consequence.

What happened that day was when she was at her home. She was hit and killed by a big truck that broke through the front wall and crashed into the living room due to the malfunction of the steering wheel.

After the news was spread, many people talked about it and gave their opinions. They felt that such occurrence of causal retribution is truly inconceivable.

This woman’s tragic death gives people a shocking awakening. The retribution of telling lies is very horrible. I advise everyone to take this understanding as a precept, not to speak falsely, not to give rise to greed and coveting, and actively do good deeds to accumulate merit. Only then can one have good health, happiness, joy, and auspiciousness!

The above content is only the understanding and views of the writer as a result of learning Buddhism. We should, however, rely on the Dharma expounded by the Buddha as the standard.

May all living beings in the world believe in Causality.

Practice compassion and commit to no killing.

May they experience health, peace, and happiness!

On April 3, 2008, a solemn and dignified first-publishing ceremony of a fact-recording book entitled H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, which published jointly by the World Buddhism Publishing LLC and the World Dharma Voice, Inc., was held at the Library of the Congress of the United States. The book was also formally accepted into the collection of the Library of the Congress of the United States. Only since that time, did people in the world know that Master Wan Ko Yee, who had been broadly respected by the great masses and who had also been known as Great Dharma King Yangwo Yeshe Norbu, had been recognized by the world’s leaders, regent dharma kings, and great rinpoches of Buddhism through official documents as the third incarnation of Dorje Chang Buddha, who is the primordial Sambhogakaya Buddha of the universe. The Buddha’s name is H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. Since then, people began to address His Holiness the Buddha by “Namo[1] Dorje Chang Buddha III.” This is similar to the situation that Sakyamuni Buddha’s name was Prince Siddhartha Gotama before attaining Buddhahood. However, after Sakyamuni Buddha had attained Buddhahood, His title changed to “Namo Sakyamuni Buddha.” That is why we now address His Holiness the Buddha as “H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III.”

In particular, on December 12, 2012, the Senate Resolution No. 614 of the United States Congress officially used “His Holiness” in the name addressing Dorje Chang Buddha III (That is to say, “H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III.”) Since then, the title and status of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III has been definitive by nature. And, as a matter of fact, “Dorje Chang Buddha III” is a name used legally in governmental and official legislative documents. Therefore, the previously used respected name and titles such as “Wan Ko Yee,” Great Master, and Great Dharma King no longer exist.

However, the news below was published before the Buddha’s title of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III was publicly announced. At that time, people did not know about the true status of His Holiness the Buddha. Therefore, to respect the true history, we still kept the names used before the title of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III was legitimately determined in republishing this news. However, all must clearly know that the only legitimate name of His Holiness the Buddha is H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and all other names used before the legitimate determination no longer exist.

Painting commands price that shocked the world

UNIQUE ART Collections International Co., Ltd., on May 28thauctioned off Master Wan Ko Yee’s (H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III) painting titled “Majesty”, which an art collector purchased through a competitive bid of NT$59,000,000 (roughly US$1,960,000).

Wan Ko Yee (H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III) is a great artists whose paintings cannot be matched by anyone in this day and age. China exhibited eleven of his paintings in an international at exhibition in Philadelphia in 1978. In its desire to display more than two hundred of Wan Ko Yee’s paintings, the Mainland Chinese government built a huge art museum — the first of its kind in Chinese history.

Master Wan Ko Yee (H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III) is not only a famous artist, he is also a leader in the world of art. When he was 20 years old, he was the head of the Chinese Painting Research Division of the China Education, Science and Culture Organization. This is a high level organization within art circles in China and its leaders include people such as Chou Ying-Nan, Wu Zhang-Shu, Qian Jun-Tao, Xie Zhi-Liako, Liang Shu-Ming, Wan Lai-Ming and Cang Ke-Jia.

In the entire history of Chinese painting, no other great painter was able to master the amount of artistic skills, the variety of different styles and the diversity of subject matter which Master Wan Ko Yee (H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III) has mastered. He can paint landscapes, people and other objects, animals, flowers, birds, fish and insects by using the meticulous brushwork style or by using the freehand brushwork style. Whichever style he uses, his paintings are always elegant, grand and full of life.

Master Wan Ko Yee’s (H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III) skills have reached the highest level in the world when it comes to ink and wash paintings. Thus, in 1991, the World Poets and Culture Congress conferred upon him the title of “Master of Oriental Art” along with a medal. ln 1994, this same Congress conferred upon him the title of the world’s only “Distinguished International Master” — the highest position possible and is on the same level of honor as a head of state.

The Master is also an ethicist. His books include Selected Philosophical Saying of Master Wan Ko Yee (H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III). He is a singer. There are 14 tapes and CDs containing his songs. And he is a scientist. He has developed two green teas called “Ba Wang Chun” and “Bi Yu Chun”, the best quality teas in the world.

Painting commands price that shocked the world. Master Wan Ko Yee’s (H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III) painting titled “Majesty”, which an art collector purchased through a competitive bid of NT$59,000,000 (roughly US$1,960,000).

An Inconceivable True Example of Causality- The Pangolin Person

Editor’s Note:

On April 7, 1982, Writer Bo Yang was invited by the Malaysian Chinese Association to give a speech in Kuala Lumpur. After that, Mr. Zhou Baoyuan and Mr. Wu Zhongda, the president and editor-in-chief of the local newspaper “New Life Daily” told him this true story and the misfortune suffered by the story’s main character Ms. Zhang Simei. After returning to Taiwan, Mr. Bo Yang wrote a featured report entitled “ The Pangolin Person,” which was published in two parts on the July 12 and 13 editions of “China Times” of the same year.

The original article is rather long. The following is a shortened version based on the key descriptions.

An Inconceivable True Example of Causality

The Pangolin Person

One day in 1948, at Tampin Village in Negeri Sembilan State of Malaysia, a peasant in poverty, Mr. Zhang Qiutan was farming his small orchard. He spotted a pangolin. The pangolin ran into a small cave when he was trying to catch it. His three boys also came. They shouted and yelled, but had no way to get it out. Then, his wife Peng Xian who was 39 years old and was 4 months pregnant at that time also joined the hunting. They burned firewood at the entrance of the cave, hoping the smoke would drive it out. However, after being busy for a long time, they never saw the pangolin again. The whole family returned home very much disappointed.

Five months later, Ms. Peng Xian gave birth to a frightening baby girl looking like a pangolin, who is the main character I am going to describe. The mother was awakened by the terrifying yelling of the midwife. She immediately fainted on her bed upon her first look at the baby. After waking up, she held the baby while her rain-like tears were washing over the baby’s scales covering the whole body. She realized that she had not given birth to a baby girl, but rather a monster.

The monster’s arrival greatly disturbed the people living in the mountain area. The ugly pangolin-like appearance caught the attention of the whole village. All immediately fell into the siege of fear. They thought that she would bring disaster to the entire village. They acted insanely and asked the Zhang’s family to hand over the monster. Mr. Zhang Qiutan and his wife, of course, knew the consequence of giving the baby to them. Thus, they falsely claimed to people that the baby had died and hid her in a very small room at home. (She was given the name of Zhang Simei by her parents.) The baby lived a life of being confined in a dark corner without daylight since her birth. Her parents were always in tears but were unable to do anything. They had no way or money to treat the strange illness she had.

When Ms. Zhang Simei was ten years old, her father left the world. According to his wife, he died in great suffering. Looking at his daughter who was crouching before the bed like a rolled-up pangolin and with dense sputum filling up his throat, he yelled, “Child, will you die with me together? I cannot die without concerns by leaving you behind in the world.”

Although the secure hiding kept the villagers from inquiring further, people still had suspicions.

During this period, there was a circus performing group coming over to offer a very high price of more than 150 ounces of gold to buy the child. The mother resolutely declined, telling them that the monster had really died.

That was how Ms. Zhang Simei led such a secluded life for more than 30 years. Eventually, she was accidentally discovered by people in March 1982. What happened more than 30 years ago came back to the world like a nightmare. Fortunately, due to the improved mental intelligence and the elevation of people’s knowledge and education, she was permitted to live in an environment filled with sympathy. That was exactly the reason why Mr. Zhou Baoyuan, the president of “New Life Daily,” insisted on having me to stay one more day to have a look at this pitiful dragon lady who shares a common lineage with us.

I am unable to describe Ms. Zhang Simei’s appearance. If I have to, I will agree to the appellation used by the residents of Tampin Village in Negeri Sembilan State, the “Pangolin Person.” Her head is completely bald without any hair. Her eyes face upward by an angle of 50 degrees. Her nose caves down and her lips were protruding. Her teeth are in disarray like tablets standing in a graveyard and her front tooth looks like an elephant tusk, penetrating through her protruding lip. Her entire body was covered by scales, rendering a shivering feeling to people. It was even more horrible to see that her eyes had no eye lids and were like that of a fish. The two eye balls appeared staring, surrounded by two rims that were like red-hot iron.

The “New Life Daily” newspaper once invited an expert of dermatology to provide a diagnosis on her. The conclusion was no medicine could cure her.

This occurrence gives people a shocking awakening. The retribution of crucifying and harming living beings is very horrible. I advise everyone to take this understanding as a precept, protect and love living beings, and actively do good deeds to accumulate merit. Only then can one have good health, happiness, joy, and auspiciousness!

The above content is only the understanding and views of the writer as a result of learning Buddhism. We should, however, rely on the Dharma expounded by the Buddha as the standard.

May all living beings in the world believe in Causality.

Practice compassion and commit to no killing

May they experience health, peace, and happiness!

Wangzha Shangzun Truly Transcends the Ordinary

In the afternoon of March 6, 2019, peals of thunder could be heard rumbling above the sky of the Holy Miracles Temple, sounding like giant earthquakes and landslides. The rain came pouring down rapidly. The Grand Hall of Shakyamuni Buddha at the Holy Miracles Temple was crowded with nearly a thousand Buddhists from all over the world. Holding khatas with both hands, they kneeled to respectfully and sincerely welcome the greatly accomplished holy guru, Wangzha Shangzun.

Wangzha Shangzun is a great holy guru who has attained the level of Gold Button Grade 3. In this lifetime, He has followed H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III to learn Buddha-Dharma and has attained tremendous accomplishment in holy realization. The Shangzun is considered the one and only Venerable King of Extraordinary Strength within the field of Buddhism throughout the entire world. He once conducted the Vajra Fa-man Holy Selection Grand Dharma Assembly during which He performed the Determination by Holy Selection in accordance with the Dharma and arrived at the determination that H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is the true incarnation of the primordial Buddha.

In 2016, Wangzha Shangzun personally presided over the holy exam held by the World Buddhism Association Headquarters for Dharma kings, rinpoches, Dharma masters, masters, and acaryas around the world. In establishing the Samsara Eight-Wind Array and Vajra Array, and with his holy realization, the Shangzun determined through Holy Selection the grade levels—the levels of accomplishment—of nearly 10,000 Buddhists. That astounded the world!

The Shangzun is, however, indifferent towards fame and fortune. In the past few years, He devoted himself to Dharma affairs of saving living beings. He rarely sees regular Buddhists except for seeing a very small number of high-level Buddhists. With the near-completion of the Dipankara Buddha Hall in the Holy Miracles Temple, and upon repeated requests by the monastics of the temple, the Shangzun has finally agreed to go to the Dipankara Buddha Hall periodically to chant sutras and mantras, to perform Dharmas, to pray for and bless faithful Buddhists who light lamps to beseech blessings. It was only under this karmic condition that the Shangzun agreed to publicly meet with Buddhists regardless of their level of accomplishment.

In the evening of March 6, Wangzha Shangzun arrived at Holy Miracles Temple. He walked with firm and stately pace as if a Vajra deity was descending to a mandala. A huge Vajra scepter which weighs about 1,000 jin (approximately 1,100 pounds) was placed in front of the entrance of the Grand Hall of Shakyamuni Buddha. According to the ancient Dharma rules in the time of Guru Padmasambhava, any great holy guru who attained the level of Gold Button Grade 3 must lift the temple-barrier Vajra scepter—the weight of which corresponds with the body weight and age of the holy guru—before they can stride over the scepter and enter the Buddha Hall. This Dharma rule is meant to verify if the Shangzun’s physical condition is healthy and if He has attained the standard of having transcended the ordinary. The rule requires Wangzha Shangzun to lift a 1,000 jin temple-barrier Vajra scepter before He can enter the Grand Hall to pay homage to H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III.

Wangzha Shangzun has a Vajra-like physique that is tall and grand, and an appearance that is very dignified. He went up to the temple-barrier Vajra scepter, bent over, and lifted up the 1,000 jin Vajra scepter effortlessly, manifesting the mighty character of a Vajra deity. When He put the Vajra scepter back on the floor, the ground and the hall instantly shook and the congregation was astounded. Subsequently, Shangzun gracefully strode over the Vajra scepter and entered the Grand Hall. He prostrated to His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha IIIas he spoke these words with utter sincerity, “I, disciple Wangzha, prostrate myself before the great Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III!” With his back bent and head bowed, He slowly came in front of His Holiness the Buddha. His Holiness the Buddha placed His hand on the Shangzun’s head. Afterwards, the Shangzun retreated to the side and ascended to His seat. He addressed the congregation, “Buddhist disciples, I’m very happy to see you here today. I’m happy because you have the karmic affinity in this lifetime to meet Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III. Thus, you’ll be able to learn the authentic Buddha Dharma, the unaltered and pristine Dharma. Because of this, you will be able to attain accomplishment within this lifetime. So of course, I’m very happy.”

Wangzha Shangzun blessed everyone in the congregation by placing His hand on each of their heads before He left. This went on until very late at night.

After the Shangzun left, Buddhist disciples were unable to hold back their curiosity about the 1,000 jin Vajra scepter. Many came forward to try lifting it. A body-builder and weight-lifter also gave it a try. Certainly, it is obvious that no matter how much strength they exerted, they were unable to lift it, and everyone shook their head when they resume standing. They were not even able to move it, not to say lift it. Two people tried to jointly lift one end, but the Vajra scepter did not move a bit. No wonder Shangzun is called the Venerable King of Extraordinary Strength.

Kankun Rinpoche, the attendant of Wangzha Shangzun, said, “On this planet earth, among all Dharma kings and rinpoches, you cannot find anyone who can lift the temple-barrier Vajra scepter. There are no temple-barrier Vajra scepters in front of their Grand Buddha Halls because this is a sharp weapon that exposes the nature of ordinary people. If they are not truly great holy people, do they dare to place a temple-barrier Vajra scepter in front of their Buddha Halls? Why? The reason is simple. True Buddha-Dharma has already become extinct. What people have learned are fragmented empty theories. No matter how reputable some of the Dharma kings or rinpoches are, or how high their status may be, their physical bodies are essentially sickly and weak. How can they have any holy qualities in their bodies? How could they have a Vajra body developed from true Buddha-Dharma? The only place to witness true realization power is right here where Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III is. Only Wangzha Shangzun, a close disciple of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, has truly attained realization powers manifested from the authentic Dharma of the Tathagatas. I dare say some of those Tibetan Dharma Kings who brag about their lineages and talk empty theories are very pitiful. They do all sorts of useless things to fool amateurs. Even though they pose to look energetic when ascending to the Dharma dais, their bodies are weak and sickly. They are tormented by their illnesses yet they continue to make up empty lies, and even fabricate false Buddha-Dharma. Since cultivators do not look for facts and only listen to empty talk, it is not surprising that they are being swindled! This is precisely the Dharma-ending age that Shakyamuni Buddha talked about where the demons prevail, Buddha-Dharma declines, and practitioners are often harmed. To cover up the fact that they are by nature ordinary people, some Dharma kings or rinpoches might say, ‘Our lineage places no emphasis on that!’ I am saying you can only deceive idiots. Whether or not you place emphasis on that, if you claim that you are a holy person and you have transcended the ordinary to become holy, why doesn’t your body have the great strength of a holy person? The undeniable facts are that you have no physical strength and your physical body is weak and sickly. Isn’t that true? If you disagree, show everyone that you can pick up the temple-barrier Vajra scepter! Just as with the Five Vidyas. Many people pretend to have Five Vidyas, but ultimately, where are their Five Vidyas? Can they show their Vidyas one by one? What level of accomplishment do they have in their Vidyas? They have nothing! Shakyamuni Buddha stipulated that a Bodhisattva must have Five Vidyas, yet you are deficient in the Five Vidyas, and without any level of accomplishment. You are clearly not a great Bodhisattva. By claiming to be a Bodhisattva, you are going against the teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha. You are simply an ordinary person and not a Bodhisattva at all!”
