In September 2016, I had the good fortune to attend the Dharma Assembly of Empowerment by Kuan Shi Yin Bodhisattva’s Great Compassion held at Hua Zang Si and received very magnificent benefits. I would like to take this opportunity to share my experience and feelings on that day with my fellow cultivators.

 

At the beginning of the dharma assembly, the presiding master told us to chant the mantra first. The rhythm of chanting was rather slow and the sound was very wonderful and beautiful. My feeling was completely different from my experience of the chanting I normally did.

 

After chanting for a short while, without knowing any reason, my father, my husband, and my two children suddenly appeared in my mind. The appearance of my father was especially clear. Sadness rose in me and tears streamed down through my face. I thought that they had not taken refuge in Buddhism and did not have the affinity to learn the true dharma of the Tathagata. That was the reason that I could not bear the sad feeling.

 

I stopped weeping and continue to chant. At that time, my grandparents from both my mother’s side, who have passed away and my father’s side as well as some other family members and relatives all appeared before my eyes. Though the view just flashed by me momentarily, I felt that I saw each of them clearly. I thought about the fact that some of them had not taken refuge while some others, though had taken refuge, were still not diligently making a good effort to learn and practice Buddha-dharma. Thinking that they would surely be in very miserable and lonely situations in the future, I could not suppress my sad mood and wept again.

 

Then I stopped weeping and continued to chant. Next, the faces of my father, husband, and children emerged before my eyes again. Every time I saw them, my heart was painfully pulled. I could not keep myself from weeping.

 

I once again stopped weeping and joined the chanting again. At this time, my ears clearly heard the voices of chanting the mantra from the crowd. However, my heart felt that I heard a voice of shouting for rescue. It sounded like a desperate yelling for help from someone who was completely surrounded by a situation of despair and horror. I had a very shocking feeling at the time. Clearly, this is the call for help from living beings, begging Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to rescue them! We are sincerely beseeching Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to save us and cross us over, to lead us to leave the abyss of pain and suffering in samsara forever! At this time, the sadness and bitterness in my heart were beyond description by words. Thus, I cried again with my face covered by tears.

 

After chanting the mantra, the dharma master announced that the dharma assembly would formally begin. I kept my body in a fixed posture and closed my eyes. I did my best to stay calm.

 

Very soon, the sound of patting came from behind. Also, people on my right side generated different kinds of sound. Someone before me was crying and fell to the ground. I sensed that she later moved to lie next to my feet (not sure whether she was actually lying down or not) and touched me a few times. I tried not to think about that. Shortly after that, she moved to behind me and started to pat the rear of my left foot and then my right foot. My right foot was hit with more power and more frequently. I dared not move myself at all and tried my best to keep my mind calm. However, I was still somewhat at a loss since I did not know what she might do to me next. When the patting stopped, I felt that she was still behind me. After a while, my right foot was again patted a few times. After that, she seemed to have left me. My eyes were always closed during this period. I dared not open my eyes.

 

My two arms felt more and more tired. I put my arms down twice and raised them again. After putting down my arms the last time, I felt that my neck began to rotate very slowly from right to left. After rotating two rounds, it went the opposite direction. At that time, I could not be sure whether this was an empowerment from Kuan Shi Yin Bodhisattva or a response made by myself due to being eager to receive empowerment.

 

Next, my both shoulders began to turn from the front to the back.

 

After that, I heard singing. I could not hear the words of singing clearly. At this time, my shoulders continued turning and the speed seemed to be faster.

 

Finally, I could hear clearly that the song was the Six Character Great Bright Mantra and “Namo Kuan Shi Yin Bodhisattva.” I first followed the singing with humming and then joined with my open voice. At this time, the movement of my two hands became bigger. My hands were swinging back and forth and left and right, as if doing a stretching exercise. However, all movements were spontaneous and beyond my own control.

 

At this time, I heard a fellow sister behind me speaking loudly in Cantonese. She seemed to be saying that we have committed lots of sins and evil deeds in the past and therefore we now must repent earnestly and so on.

 

My hands continued swinging. I followed the singing and joined from time to time. At this time, my hand movement changed and turned into a movement of dancing. That was the hand gesture in a Chinese classic dance. I was dancing to the singing. My heart was filled with the joy of the dharma. With a smile on my face and while singing lightly, I made all kinds of wonderful movement with my hands (At least I felt that my hand movement was very wonderful.). Totally without any control, I felt that all movements were so smooth, fluent, and natural. Though my eyes were always closed, my mind was very clear and very much open. I was clearly aware what gestures and movements were performed by my hands. However, the dancing and moving of my hands was not directed by my own mind.

 

My two hands kept waving and moving. However, when the master leading the dharma practice called out “Stop!”, my hands gradually moved to a position before my chest and stopped there.

 

After the perfect conclusion of the dharma assembly, the attending crowd went together to perform the ending practice of saving living beings from captivity. On the trip of driving back home, I unexpectedly noticed that my two feet were warm. This was something extraordinary to me. For quite a number of years, my two feet were rather cold. In particular, I must have a hot water bag prepared before going to bed. Otherwise I would not be able to fall asleep. Even if I went to sleep after having a hot bath or having my feet soaked in hot water, my feet would still be cold. Sometimes when I did not use a hot water bag, I would wake up at night with my feet being ice-cold. I could feel the chilly air from my bones and would even tremble. At that time, I had to have the hot-water bag ready immediately. After attending that dharma assembly, I fell the warmth from my two feet and no longer need to use a hot-water bag to help me fall asleep. Even when I wake up at night, I would pleasantly find that my feet warm.

 

I am grateful to the empowerment bestowed on me by the greatly loving and greatly compassionate Kuan Shi Yin Bodhisattva!

 

Additionally, I also had an unexpected discovery. The ankle joints in my two feet were no longer in pain. I could not remember since when my ankle joints started to ache, but it should have been for quite a while. I did not know what the cause was either. Normally, there was no pain if I do not touch them. However, it was very painful if the spot was pressed. Therefore, when I sat crossed legged to practice meditation, a towel or a blanket must be placed under my feet. Otherwise I would not be able to keep myself in a sitting position.

 

Yesterday evening, while chatting with my family members after dinner, I reached out to massage the ankle joints on my right foot as I used to do. I did not even feel any pain at all. I immediately pressed the ankle joints on my left foot and did not feel any pain either. I dared not believe that fact at the time and repeatedly pressed the spots many times. It was really true that I had no pain at all.

 

I once again express my gratitude to the greatly loving and greatly compassionate Kuan Shi Yin Bodhisattva!

 

This dharma assembly was very magnificent. The attending crowd were also empowered by Kuan Shi Yin Bodhisattva’s great compassion and were full of the joy from the dharma. Had I not experienced the occasion in person, I absolutely would not be able to imagine the inconceivable feeling and benefits I had when the empowerment from Buddhas and Bodhisattvas came to me!

Sharing My Experience from Respectfully Listening to the Recorded Dharma Discourses Expounded by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III

 

I was born in a Christian family. Since my childhood, I followed my mother to pray and worship. When I got married more than 20 years ago, my mother-in-law sent us a portrait of the Three Holy Beings in a wooden frame and an audio device which recites the holy name of Namo Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. However, I did not go one step further at that time to enter deeply to recognize and experience Buddhism or Buddha-dharma.

In the 1990s, I remember that qigong was popular everywhere in society at that time. I also followed the trend to learn “Zhong Gong” and a so-and-so gong that was later outlawed by the government. During this period, I was always in the midst of confusion, struggle, painful suffering, and fighting for the right direction. I felt that I was just like a small boat sailing in the ocean that was full of scary tides and waves while pressing dark clouds, gusty winds, heavy rainstorms, thunders, and lightening were all over the sky!. I also felt that I was a helpless little insect struggling in a mud pool without knowing where the way out was!

Due to the mistakes I made, my work assignment changed. From working as a teacher, my job was changed to cleaning toilets, guarding the parking lot of bicycles, and watching the front gate. Furthermore, when my job was taking care of the public restroom, I lived in a shabby house that was rebuilt from a restroom. The wall of the house was made of stacked bricks with many gaps between. I had to use plastic sheets to cover up the gaps. In summer I would get bitten by mosquitoes. When winter came, it was very cold both inside and outside the house. My mind was like trapped on an uninhabited island during that period of about ten years. The only interest I had at that time was trying my hands on calligraphy, reading books, and even learning to carve seals.

People often say that one has to hit a wall to turn the head back. Buddhism advocates repentance and says that one has to learn to awaken. However, if one does not encounter a good master to point out the direction, it can be very difficult to awaken just relying on one’s own cognition! I often had dreams in my sleep at that time. Sometimes, my crying in the dream woke myself up. Still, I did not know how to walk my path in the human world. Once in my dream, someone told me to read Buddhist sutras and gave me a list of names of many scriptures, including The Diamond Sutra, The Infinite Life Sutra, the Lotus Sutra and others as I remember. Later a casual chance caused me to go into a temple. Many sutras and scriptures were on display there. The sutras and scriptures mentioned in my dream turned out to be all here! From then on, I respectfully requested some sutras to read and recite at home.

In August 2014, my husband respectfully requested from Hong Kong a great treasure book entitled Expounding the Absolute Truth through the Heart Sutra. I did not know what book that is at the time, but I just took the book and read it. I read it day and night. At that time I had blister beriberi on my feet and I did not do the right thing to treat it. At first, some spots started to itch and fester. Later the entire foot was itching and festering, dispersing a very strong stinky smell. Also, there were lots of sticky fluid coming out. I used tissues to wipe them off during the day. At night, I had to wrap my foot with a towel. The fluid from the blisters would soak up the towel completely and I had to change the towel twice every night. Though my foot was itching and aching, I kept chanting, “Form is not different from emptiness; emptiness is not different from form; form is emptiness, and emptiness is form.” Perhaps due to the reason of reading this great treasure book, other than having pain and itchiness on my foot, my heart felt bright and wide open, as if having taken mint lozenges. My pores throughout my body were all open. I felt great and refreshed. During this period, when I tried to scratch my itchy foot, two layers of skin would be pulled off, looking like skinning an animal. I thought, “I have to pay for the countless karmic hindrances that I created in the past!” A month later, the foot that had swollen like an eggplant and could not have a shoe to fit on returned to normal. The scars dried and peeled off. Without any shots or meds, my foot gradually healed by itself.

Through multiple twists and turns and suffering setbacks, I am fortunate to be able to learn the true dharma of the Tathagata in my current lifetime. From listening to the recorded dharma discourses expounded by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III to having learned the great dharma from H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, my experience is truly like “The supreme profound and wonderful dharma is hard to encounter even in millions of eons. Now that I have listened to and received the great dharma, I vow to understand the true meaning of the Tathagata”!

Since I have learned and practiced the true dharma of the Tathagata, I must cultivate myself earnestly in my current lifetime. Only then can I receive beneficial effects. Cultivation means to cultivate and correct my speech and conduct, to say the Tathagata’s words, carry out the Tathagata’s conduct, and think what the Tathagata thinks. Once one truly has achieved the correspondence of the three karmas, beneficial effects from the dharma will naturally come. Only then can one’s accomplishment and liberation in the current lifetime be ensured. I am grateful to my family members, friends, supervisors, coworkers, and Buddhist brothers and sisters who have stayed next to me on my path in the past. Because of you, I am spurred to advance forward!

 

May the merit from all dharmas I practice be dedicated to all beings in the dharma realm.

May we all expediently attain perfect good fortune and wisdom in the current lifetime and together we will realize Buddhahood.

Before we realize the complete nirvana, may all disasters and difficulties leave us.

Until we attain the great fruition of Bodhi, may we stay with the holy beings as long as the existence of heaven.

Hua Zang Si usually provides a vegetarian lunch to the attendees after the end of every Dharma assembly.

 

When I first tasted it, it dawned on me – How can there be such delicious vegetarian food in this world? It is tastier than any gourmet food I have ever eaten. It is comforting and stays in your heart.

 

The ingredients may be common vegetables, such as tofu, or mushrooms and even the rice is just simple white rice. It is not greasy and they do not always season the food with chilies for aroma. It reminds you of the most delicious dish that your Mom cooked when you were little.

 

I wonder if it is because I have grown tired of the same old greasy food or it is just an illusion I got from a new taste. However, this fine feeling has never changed for several years from the first time I went to Hua Zang Si until now. I also have heard similar praises from a number of other people. Eventually, I was convinced that the food provided by Hua Zang Si is good quality.

 

Later, I was fortunate enough to volunteer in the kitchen of Hua Zang Si – I saw how Buddhist brothers and sisters deliver fresh ingredients from a great distance on the day before the Dharma assembly. I have seen how many of Buddhist brothers, sisters, aunties, grandmas, and even some kids carefully clean and prepare potatoes, carrots, vegetables and fruits. I also noticed the hard work they do on the day of the Dharma assembly: They stir-fry the food, add water to control the heat, all under high temperature. I also noticed how they carefully store the prepared dishes in the warmers to keep the food warm. At the lunch time, I also have seen how the young volunteers attentively and efficiently spoon every side dish on the plates while wearing masks and gloves in spite of the heat. In addition, I have seen how the volunteers separate the used utensils and plates for recycle with a great deal of effort.

 

I have finally realized what is behind the delicious vegetarian lunch – it is self-cultivation at all times and all places.

It has been several years since I started to listen respectfully to the Dharma expounded by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III at Hua Zang Si. I have received great benefit from learning the principles and developing correct understanding and views. My heart is filled with Dharma joy and I express my ultimate gratitude to the Buddha.

Whenever I listen respectfully to the Dharma expounded by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, it always feels like a timely warning to me. After I reflect and examine my daily conducts, I always feel very ashamed. I deeply feel that my words and conducts have not been in accord with the teachings of the Buddha.

The dreadful discovery often gives me cold feet. Life is short and full of suffering. Why have I continued my ignorant actions which will result in negative karma and degeneration? When will the suffering of reincarnation come to an end? Hereby, I repent and vow to follow the Buddha to practice Buddhism and cultivate myself. I beseech liberation and accomplishment. I hope to enlighten myself and others. I will cherish all the holy and magnificent Dharma I have listened to.

My second reason to start a Dharma center is that I have felt joy from listening to the clear teachings of the Buddha. I feel that I have a direction in life now. If I do not fight for liberation in this lifetime, when else will it be? It is truly a great karmic condition to be born in the same life time of the Buddha and to be able to listen respectfully to the Dharma of the Buddha. This is difficult to encounter in millions of eons. We really should greatly appreciate the opportunity. My heart is full of Dharma joy. I have become optimistic in my outlook and see beauty in the world. I am filled with energy to propagate the Dharma. Also, things in life have gotten better.

My third reason to start a Dharma center is that I want to follow exactly what the Buddha has told us to do. The Buddha has said that the Buddha Dharma is the law of cause and effect. The law of cause and effect does not err. It is an iron clad universal principle that does not perish.

Therefore, I must follow the teachings of the Buddha—do no evil and do all good. After we understand the principles, we will put them into practice. By relying on the Ten Good Deeds, the Four Bodhisattva Virtues, the Four Limitless States of Mind, the Three Cumulative Precepts, Mahayana Bodhicitta and the Six Paramitas, I will practice according to the Dharma and abide by the precepts. May I realize the Bodhi together with all sentient beings in the three spheres and the six realms.

I firmly believe that the correct Dharma of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is the foundation of accomplishment. Yet, when I looked back, it is just not enough to listen to the Dharma for my personal benefit or joy. The Buddha’s propagating the Dharma and benefiting beings is to save all beings who have karmic affinity with Him. Since I have vowed to follow the Buddha to practice Buddhism and cultivate myself, I should then emulate the Buddha in benefiting all beings. I hope that all who have karmic affinity with me will receive the same benefit from the Buddha’s teachings, make the same vow to follow the Buddha, engage in the same correct conduct of Buddhism, receive the same Dharma joy and seek the same liberation.

Because of the above reasons, I earnestly applied to establish a Dharma-listening center in March, 2009. I passed the exam and receive the title of Dharma-Listening Session Master in August, 2009. In over two years, I have worked together with friends who have karmic affinity with me and opened six Dharma listening centers: one in California, U.S.A., three in Shenzhen, China, one in Guangzhou, China and one in Sanya, Hainan. Five of the people in charge of the Dharma-listening centers have one by one passed the exam and received the title of Dharma-Listening Sessions Masters. We have worked hard on building good karmic affinities with others and propagating the correct Dharma of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. We hope to guide more people to learn Buddhism, engage in self-cultivation and walk on the correct path of Bodhi, which will accumulate countless merits.

Hereby, I again beseech the empowerment and support from the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and holy Dharma protectors to help me to lead more people who have karmic affinity with me to listen respectfully to the magnificent Dharma of Holiest Tathagatha H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. The Dharma will definitely help them to develop the correct understanding and views of Buddhism and self-cultivation, gain great benefits, obtain happiness, liberation, and accomplishment.

I am so fortunate in my current lifetime. The karmic affinity formed through many lifetimes and eons enabled me to attend the Holy Assembly of 100 Sessions held after the nirvana of Elder Dharma Master Yin Hai who was the world’s top-level holy monk. After the Elder Dharma Master’s nirvana, Buddhist disciples not only took shifts to guard in front of the Elder Dharma Master’s flesh body and chant the holy name of Kuan Yin Bodhisattva without interruption but also held three grand dharma assemblies every day until the perfect conclusion of the Holy Assembly of 100 Sessions. I attended my shift of chanting and the three dharma assemblies every day without missing even one session. To benefit living beings, I now tell people in the world about the unprecedented and world-astounding holy feats manifested by Elder Dharma Master Yin Hai that I witnessed in person.

I am a rinpoche and I know that I must follow the Buddha’s teaching and cannot speak falsely to deceive living beings. Before all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in the ten directions, I give my truthful accounts in the following:

On December 30, 2016, when concluding the examination in the holy realm held by the World Buddhism Association Headquarters (WBAH), the great holy virtuous one leading the dharma Wang Zha Shang Zun made this prediction publicly, “A holy monk whose nine precept-scars once emitted light to break the darkness in a closed room, who is the foremost holy monk in the world, and whom I respect the most will leave us in January next year. He will create an unprecedented holy manifestation in the history of Buddhism. This will be a great happy event and should be joyfully celebrated.”

What I could never imagine is that the tremendously great accomplishment of this top-level foremost holy monk in the world is so astonishing to the heaven and human realms and ground-shaking to this earthly world!

To celebrate the H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Day, we held a ceremony to release living beings in captivity and then respectively listened to a recorded magnificent dharma discourse on January 15, 2017. Right after the celebration had ended, we received a notice and immediately went to where Elder Dharma Master Yin Hai was stationed. We saw that the Elder Dharma Master entered nirvana in a sitting state of concentration. After chanting sutras, mantras, and the holy name of Kuan Yin Bodhisattva, we respectfully viewed His holy appearance. The Elder Dharma Master’s holy face looked thin and aged, with sunken cheeks, a sparse beard, and wrinkles all over the face (Please see the Elder Dharma Master’s photo taken at 11 hours after entering nirvana that can be respectfully requested from WBAH.) Could it be that this holy monk of the current era has left the world in this way? No, this was just the beginning of Elder Dharma Master Yin Hai’s manifestation of His tremendously great and world-unparalleled accomplishment!

Elder Dharma Master Yin Hai is a disciple of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and the Chief Teacher of the Tripitaka of sutras, vinayas, and shastras (commentaries) at WBAH. The Elder Dharma Master lived a private life in profound cultivation and practice. His conduct demonstrated noble and pure great compassion and bodhicitta, had nothing to do with fame and gain, and was not tainted by worldly dusts. His virtue and realization were immeasurably high and profound. Many abbots of famous temples and eminent monks of the current time are His disciples. However, because revered Elder Dharma Master Yin Hai did not touch worldly dusts and lived a great hidden life in the world, it was difficult for people in the world to have the affinity to hear His holy name.

In the evening of the same day, Buddhist disciples of the seven types as well as the professionals working at the Universal Chung Wah Funeral Home respectfully escorted the holy body of Elder Dharma Master Yin Hai to the funeral home. At night, several dharma brothers and I who are rinpoches guarded the holy body while chanting the holy name of “Namo Kuan Shi Yin Bodhisattva” throughout the night. At 6 o’clock in the morning of the next day, the Elder Dharma Master’s holy body was handed over to the funeral home to carry out the process required by law. After completing the legal procedures, WBAH made the arrangement to hold grand dharma assemblies in the morning, at noon and in the evening every day. Additionally, Buddhist disciples guarded in front of the Elder Dharma Master’s holy body at any time day and night. Each shift was staffed by quite a few disciples, who chanted the holy name of Kuan Yin Bodhisattva without a pause.

On the third day after the Elder Dharma Master’s entering nirvana, when I was in the shift of chanting, I was able to view closely and saw that the Elder Dharma Master looked pale.

On the fifth night, other dharma brothers and I on the same shift noticed that, although the Elder Dharma Master still looked thin, His facial complexion was no longer so pale. The two cheeks of the Elder Dharma Master revealed a somewhat ruddy air. That was quite different from the common phenomena seen after one’s death when the facial color turns worse and the muscles become loosen or dropsy.

The next day, we received a notice from the funeral home. Due to the limited number of ceremonial halls they have, they could no longer provide a space for us to continue the Buddhist ceremony there for an extended period. Therefore, they agreed that we could receive the Elder Dharma Master’s flesh body back to the temple to continue the unfinished Buddhist ceremony. Thus, On the ninth day after the Elder Dharma Master’s nirvana and after the funeral home had provided the legal documentation, we received the holy body of the revered Elder Monk Yin Hai back to the temple to rest for worshipping in the Kuan Yin Hall that had been consecrated earlier by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III in person. Also, a transparent encasement was placed on top of the open coffin, to prevent the stinky and filthy air dispersed by ordinary persons from contaminating the holy body.

During the dharma assembly held on that night, many dharma brothers and sisters and I smelled special fragrant scent. Some saw that light was emitted in the hall. That was very auspicious and magnificent, as if being in a holy state of manifested land! There was also something that I must mention. On that night when I was viewing the holy body respectfully, I unintentionally found that revered Elder Dharma Master Yin Hai’s two hands appeared like a sculpture of white jade, dispersing the sense of texture and lust that only jade stones possess! I thought, how could the hands of a person have the sense of texture of stone? At that time, I really could not understand the cause of such peculiar and rare phenomena. I was only dawned afterwards that it was because the flesh body of Elder Dharma Master Yin Hai was undergoing a total transformation inside and out.

On the eleventh night after the Elder Dharma Master‘s nirvana, before the dharma assembly started, chairperson of the International Buddhism Sangha Association (IBSA) Dharma Master Long Hui and the abbot of the True Buddha-Dharma Center and the Pagoda Temple Venerable Xiangge Qiongwa together announced an astonishingly great news. Earlier, with the permission from His Holiness the Buddha, Dharma Master Jue Hui, Dharma Master Long Hui, Venerable Xiangge Qiongwa, Venerable Long Zhou, Dharma Master Ruo Hui, and Dharma Master Miao Kong used their hands to touch and press the Holy Venerable One’s flesh body. They found that the Elder Dharma Master‘s flesh body was as firm and hard as a stone. Even the typically softest spots on the cheek was extremely firm and hard. The crowd immediately prostrated to pay respect. They were full of praises for witnessing the indisputable feat of Elder Dharma Master Yin Hai’s accomplishment of an incorruptible Vajra body after entering nirvana.

More than 20 days after the Elder Dharma Master‘s entering nirvana, all monastics, rinpoches, laypersons, and I at the site formed a line to respectfully view the holy body one by one. When I got closer to view at an intimate distance, I could not even believe what I saw before my eyes. The holy monk in my eyesight truly stunned me greatly!

The Elder Dharma Master’s appearance underwent a vivid and complete miraculous transformation: the wrinkles that were all over the face at the time of entering nirvana disappeared; the originally thin bone frame and concave muscles became moisty, lustrous, and full and filled; the spiritual expression between eyebrows seemed to emit light; His nose ridge became straightly higher and wider; the originally sparse beard grew thick and dense; and even the fingers and fingernails had grown longer!

Before my eyes, the holy appearance of the Elder Dharma Master became very perfect and majestic and extremely magnificent. That was completely another person (See the two contrasting visages taken after Holy Monk Yin Hai had entered nirvana. The two photos can be respectfully requested from WBAH.) This fact validated the forecast by Wang Zha Shang Zun!

This holy feat that was never manifested by any holy one in history broke the record about nirvana in the history of Buddhism and is so inconceivable. But, it was right before my eyes! Still, this is the fact. After the Elder Dharma Master had entered nirvana, His flesh body was guarded by Buddhist disciples of the seven types day and night. They staffed in shifts to chant holy names and stayed at the scene all times. Altogether, there were more than 100 monastics, rinpoches, and laypersons who witnessed the process of this holy state.

Wang Zha Shang Zun who is at the level of Golden Button Grade 3 said that Elder Dharma Master Yin Hai is the foremost holy monk in the world and is respected by Him the most. The Elder Dharma Master’s holy realization and cultivated power are very great and strong. In His early years, the Shang Zun practiced the dharma together with Elder Dharma Master Yin Hai in a cave in a deep mountain. Wang Zha Shang Zun once accidentally saw that the nine precept-scars on top of the Elder Dharma Master’s head emitted light rays that illuminated the completely dark retreat chamber as if it was under open daylight to instantly save living beings of non-human realms to higher realms. This was a holy feat that occurred in the early years. In later years, He followed the Elder Dharma Master to become a disciple of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and was taught by His Holiness the Buddha in person and was conferred the highest supreme initiations. That was why, after the revered Elder Dharma Master Yin Hai had entered nirvana, Wang Zha Shang Zun specifically wrote a Verse of Praise:

“The merit of Monk Yin Hai shines splendidly the sky and the ground. The nine holes of His precept-scars once emitted light to illuminate a dark retreat room. This greatly compassionate and accomplished one cultivating in seclusion has left His name to the world. Following His wish, He has returned to His upper-level lotus seat in the World of Ultimate Bliss. After entering nirvana, the flesh body of this holy venerable one will undergo a miraculous transformation. A new holy chapter of nirvana will be written in the history of Buddhism. In the past He and I practiced together in retreat in a cave in a deep mountain. Later we both went to the teaching of true Buddha-dharma and became close to the Buddha. Written by Buddhist Disciple and Humble Bhiksu Wang Zha Gong Bo, February 15, 2017”

The karmic condition arising from Elder Dharma Master Yin Hai’s nirvana caused the Holy Assembly of 100 Sessions. The merit generated from attending the Holy Assembly of 100 Sessions is tremendously great and far exceeds the merit from attending ordinary dharma assemblies. Wang Zha Shang Zun announced that those who attended the Holy Assembly of 100 Sessions perfectly have the qualification to be promoted on one’s grade and to receive the Initiation of Dharma Affinity with the Yidam. This is the reward of kindness, virtue, and good fortune that the Holy Venerable One’s nirvana brought to them.

Since the Elder Dharma Master is a top-level holy monk of last several thousand years, presenting the offerings of performing Buddha-dharma with respect to the holy days following the Elder Dharma Master’s nirvana including chanting sutras, chanting Buddhas’ names, practicing mantras, dharma practice, dedicating merit and so on will invoke tremendously great merit to return. Such merit is bestowed from the blessing given by the Elder Dharma Master who is a tremendously holy one on the spot!

I am boundlessly grateful to Elder Dharma Master’s blessing on the spot that bestowed living beings good fortune and beneficial gains in their resources for cultivation. The holy feat of miraculous great transformation manifested by Elder Dharma Master Yin Hai after entering nirvana created a new chapter in the history of Buddhism of this earthly world and demonstrated unprecedented accomplishment of holy state. Why is it called creating a new chapter in the history of Buddhism on nirvana?

First, the flesh body underwent a miraculous great transformation starting from the tenth day after Elder Dharma Master had entered nirvana. After that, His visage was magnificently majestic as if having become a completely different person.

Anyone who knows only a little about the medical science of human body would know that the blood will dry up after one’s death and the muscles will lose elasticity and become loose. Additionally, the skin will turn withered and lifeless, the internal organs will corrupt, and the body will emit stinky smell of spoiling. The appearance and state of a dead person can only become more and more miserable and more and more ugly. It has never been seen that a person looks more adorned and has better looking after death. Ten days after entering nirvana, Elder Dharma Master Yin Hai’s facial appearance showed a miraculous great transformation. A bony and aged face with concave cheeks and covered with wrinkles totally changed into magnificent appearance that was moisty and lustrous with full cheeks. The contrasting photos taken before and after the change look like two different persons!

Secondly, 11 days after entering nirvana, the flesh body of Elder Dharma Master Yin Hai became as hard as a rock, demonstrating the accomplishment of an incorruptible Vajra body.

Patriarchs of past generations who accomplished an incorruptible flesh body generally had to go through a process of sealing the body inside an upside-down large vase for three years to rid of the fluid within the body. Then the vase is lifted. Only if the body did not spoil and the bone frame did not break, can the accomplishment of an incorruptible flesh body be determined. On the other hand, the situation of accomplishing an incorruptible Vajra body 11 days after entering nirvana is never heard about and absolutely unprecedented! Elder Dharma Master Yin Hai demonstrated His freedom from birth and death as He entered nirvana in an instant. Then, 11 days after, His entire body was as hard as a stone, manifesting the tremendously great accomplishment of realizing an incorruptible whole-body Vajra relic and creating a holy feat unprecedented in the entire history of Buddhism.

Thirdly, Elder Dharma Master Yin Hai‘s fingers, fingernails, and beard continued to grow after His nirvana. And there were three new black strains grown from His beard.

While the Holy Assembly of 100 Sessions was in session, the professionals from the Universal Chung Wah Funeral Home came to our worshipping hall to perform service on Elder Dharma Master Yin Hai‘s body. They were greatly astounded upon seeing the Elder Monk’s holy body! They said that they had never seen or even heard such a thing. More than 20 days after entering nirvana, not only the wrinkles on the face disappeared, but also the bone frame and muscles became full and filled. The fingers and fingernails also grew longer. One of the professionals was very surprised and said after viewing Elder Dharma Master Yin Hai‘s holy appearance carefully and closely, “I know very clearly that the beard was sparse and completely white before. Now, not only the beard had grown longer, but also three black strains have grown from it!” They praised that the Elder Monk’s cultivation and practice were so great and amazing. They also repeatedly stated that this event was the most mysterious, the most miraculous, and the most inconceivable fact that they had experienced since the founding of the funeral home. The fact created a new record in their professional experience of many years and also proved that Elder Dharma Master Yin Hai created the first such holy manifestation in the history of Buddhism.

Wang Zha Shang Zun said that Holy Monk Yin Hai is a greatly accomplished one in the dharma of “Red Kuan Yin of Magnificent Ocean of Great Compassion practiced with The Supreme and Unsurpassable Mahamudra of Liberation.” He is a great holy one who came again from the World of Ultimate Bliss to fulfill His vow and has now returned to His upper-level lotus seat in the Pure Land. Though the Holy Monk has left, He established tremendously great merit and record for Buddhism with His flesh body after entering nirvana. This is a holy event that has never occurred before in history.

The miraculous great transformation manifested by the flesh body of Elder Dharma Master Yin Hai after He had entered nirvana proved that He is a top-level holy monk in the history of Buddhism. Furthermore, the source of the dharma that enabled the Elder Dharma Master to attain great accomplishment from His cultivation and practice is from H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. Through His state of accomplishment realized from learning the Buddha-dharma from H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, the Elder Dharma Master proved the utmost supreme status of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and let people in the world know that H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is the source of the true dharma of the Tathagata leading to liberation and accomplishment in the current world.

In this dharma-ending era that is full of chaos and confusion, the Elder Dharma Master ignited the hope for living beings’ accomplishment and liberation in this earthly world. This will cause countless living beings to make their clear and pure vow to pursue liberation. Demonstrating the source of true Buddha-dharma and bestowing good fortune to living beings, the merit of the Elder Dharma Master is so great!

My above-stated personal experience is a true account of real events without anything untrue. Elder Monk Yin Hai’s accomplishment and holy feats that shine splendidly through history are indisputable facts. However, there are still vicious persons and swindlers of demonic nature who make slandering attacks that are completely baseless. They have the ulterior motive of cutting off living beings good roots and opportunities to acquire wisdom. What they do is truly despicable. Cultivators must not be deceived by them, otherwise they will lose their affinity with the supreme dharma that is difficult to encounter even in many eons.

I now take this oath before all Buddhas in the ten directions, “If I spoke falsely about Elder Monk Yin Hai’s holy feat of miraculous great transformation that took place in His flesh body after He had entered nirvana, I will encounter malicious retribution and will not become accomplished. If what I said is true, may living beings and I acquire perfect good fortune and wisdom and attain great accomplishment and great liberation!”

I now make this vow: I dedicate all my merit from perfectly attending the Holy Assembly of 100 Sessions to all living beings who see and hear about this article. May they give rise to clear and pure confidence and learn and practice the true dharma of the Tathagata from H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, to increase their good fortune and wisdom, become liberated from transmigration, and forever leave all sufferings!

What I Have Learned From Listening to the Recorded Dharma Expounded by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III-Helping Others Is the Source of Happiness.

 

 

People often say that helping others is the source of happiness. It rings especially true for me as I grew up in a Buddhist family. I feel very happy if others are happy. When I saw a small dead animal by the street, I would find a place to bury it and chant mantras for its well-being in the afterlife. When I had extra household items, I would donate them to help those in need. When I met homeless people on the street, I always helped them as much as I could. At the time of my graduation from college, my goal was to make a lot of money so I could help even more people.

 

I feel very happy when I can help others.

 

One day, I met a Buddhist sister who is one of good knowledge in Buddhism. She invited me to her home altar. I prostrated to the Buddha and listened to the recorded dharma expounded by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. Because His Holiness the Buddha’s voice had a Sichuan dialect accent, I found it hard to understand. However, I was determined to concentrate and give my best effort. In the end, with the Buddha’s blessings, I was able to grasp part of the meaning of the dharma.

 

Through the years, with my Buddhist family background, I have learned a variety of Buddhist rituals and formalities and attended a lot of Buddhist classes for beginners and youth, and dharma assemblies, etc.  However, none of these can be compared to the Dharma of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, which is truly the greatest I have ever encountered in my life. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III pointed out to us the proper ways to cultivate oneself (in What is Cultivation? as contained in the dharma transmitted by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III) and how to master the dharma with step-by-step instructions how to walk on the path to liberation. I instinctively realized right then that I had found the true Buddha Dharma.  I felt like I have found a treasure and was very grateful for H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III.   I was also very thankful to the Buddhist sister.

 

Afterward I learned that many disciples of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III had already achieved great accomplishments, for example, H.E. Dharma King Ciren Gyatso Venerable Gar Tongstan IV,H.E. Kai Chu Rinpoche, Jian Hui Dharma Master who can fly in high speed, Hui Xiu Liu who passed away in a sitting position and had attained liberation from the cycle of birth and death, and layperson Yu Shan Ho who gained rebirth in the Western Paradise of the Ultimate Bliss, etc. (They are just a few examples out of many.)

 

I was very excited for a long time. I want to thank H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and all Bodhisattvas, who made it possible for me to meet the true ancient Buddha in real life and learn correct Buddha-dharma. I realized that the way I was helping others before was so superficial compared to the true Buddha-dharma. If everyone could listen to the Dharma of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, cultivate according to the correct dharma, start on personal improvement, do all good deeds and eradicate all evil thoughts, deeds or words, then, the cause and effect would be changed for the better and lead us to liberation from reincarnation and true happiness! I would like to work even harder to help others to get to know and listen to the recorded dharma expounded by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. Only then, will they get on the path to true happiness and liberation.

In September 2016, I had the good fortune to attend the Dharma Assembly of Empowerment by Guan Shi Yin Bodhisattva’s Mind of Great Compassion held at Hua Zang Si in San Francisco. Abbot Dharma Master Ruo Hui was in charge of the mandala to lead the dharma practice. Earlier, I read the report about the dharma assembly of empowerment by the greatly compassionate Guan Shi Yin Bodhisattva held in New York ten years ago and thought that such a dharma assembly must be very uncommon. I could not have imagined that now I myself had the karmic condition to attend this dharma assembly. My heart was very excited. I am extremely grateful to the empowerment from H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and the greatly loving and compassionate Guan Shi Yin Bodhisattva! I thank the dharma master leading the dharma practice!

 

At the start of the dharma assembly, Dharma Master Ruo Hui described the expected situation of the dharma assembly as well as the noteworthy issues to the monastics and laypersons present. Regardless of what might happen around us, we should always maintain a peaceful mind with good confidence. We should know that we would be under good protection. Also, there were fellow brothers and sisters serving as dharma protectors at the site. Then we chanted mantras together. The sound from everyone’s voice was not only in unison but also very pleasing to the ear. The sound of mantras was like an enchanting music. After that, we adjusted our bodies into the desired posture as instructed by the dharma master and closed our eyes. The entire crowd was quiet, and the process of empowerment started.

 

After about one minute, I felt a breezing wind blowing over. The feeling was quite obvious. Then the force of the wind became greater and greater. It was like a wind blowing by the ocean side. My arms began to swing spontaneously. My feet was also trembling. I felt that I became very light, as if I would be blown up by the wind. Later the power of the wind gradually reduced, and I could once again stand firmly on the ground. After that, I kept that posture throughout the dharma assembly. There was one moment when my thighs had a very refreshing and cool feeling.

 

During the dharma assembly, I heard the sound of patting the body from other brothers and sisters. Some of them were speaking. Some sang songs. Some others were dancing. Some attendees laid on the floor, and some of them were rolling on the floor. Some fellow brothers and sisters performed mudras in the process. When we shared our experiences after the dharma assembly had ended, I learned that each person generated different manifestations from his/her own sensation and response. All received empowerment. The occurrence of the above situations in the midst of the dharma assembly made the process quite bustling. I tried my best to keep my mind from being interfered. Actually, the strong and powerful empowerment made me feel that my heart was very pure and tranquilized at that time. I was truly better calmed than when I was in my normal sitting meditation. There wasn’t much illusory thought.

 

After fellow brothers and sisters shared their own experience from the dharma assembly, we immediately went to a small town by the ocean side to hold the ending practice of releasing living beings from captivity. When dharma water was sprinkled to the little fish and crabs in a water pool, they were all jumping actively. We could see that they were very excited. Then we all followed a queue to take turn to release them. They were very delighted to return to the ocean. At that time, there were no seagulls present to disturb them. Everything was very perfectly accomplished and successful!

 

On the day before the dharma assembly, I was stilling having a flu. When the empowerment dharma assembly ended, I felt that my nose was no longer stuffy. My breathing was smooth and free of obstruction. My brain felt fresh. I was filled with the joy of the dharma!

 

I am grateful to the empowerment from H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and the greatly loving and compassionate Guan Shi Yin Bodhisattva!

 

I thank the dharma master leading the dharma practice!

Wang Zha Shang Zun Held the Dharma Assembly of Jin Gang Fa Man Ze Jue And Determined the Genuine Incarnation of the Buddha

(Reported by the Taiwan Times) On September 5, 2015, an unprecedented dharma assembly of “Determining the Status of a Buddha by the Dharma of Jin Gang Fa Man Ze Jue (Jin Gang Fa Man Ze Jue is a dharma in Tibetan Esoteric Buddhism for determining the result sought through selection)” was held in the United States of America with the attendance of several dozens of venerable ones, dharma kings and rinpoches, who are from Tibetan Esoteric Buddhism, and dharma masters. The dharma practice was led by Great Rinpoche Wang Zha from Tibet, who once practiced in solitary retreat for 46 years in Tibet and has the realization of Golden Button Grade 3 (having three Sun-Moon wheels) in Buddha-dharma. The decisions by the Dharma of Jin Gang Fa Man Ze Jue determined that Sakyamuni Buddha is a true Buddha, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is a true Buddha, and Master Hui Neng, the sixth patriarch of the Ch’an (Zen) School, was not a Buddha but was the incarnation of a great Bodhisattva.

At what level is a dharma assembly of determination by the Dharma of Jin Gang Fa Man Ze Jue? According to the explanation provided by the United International World Buddhism Association Headquarters (UIWBAH) who sponsored the two sessions of the dharma assembly to determine the status of a Buddha, the Dharma of Jin Gang Fa Man Ze Jue is one of the holy supreme great dharmas and can be used to determine the true or false status of any holy being. In this world, this dharma and the Dharma of Forecasting the Future (announcing events that will happen in the future ahead of time) are the co-champions among the dharmas of decision by selection. The dharma ranked next is the holy inner-tantric dharma of “Bai Fa Ming Men Hei Guan Ze Jue (a dharma specifically used to determine the correct or wrong result).” The next lower dharma is the dharma of dropping divine pieces to receive divine instruction, which is at the inner-tantric level. Then, there are lower, outer-tantric dharmas of lot-drawing from a golden vase, rotating a tsampa ball, watching a sacred lake to see the result, and others. This Dharma of Jin Gang Fa Man Ze Jue and the Dharma of Forecasting the Future are the highest dharmas among dharmas of decision by selection to determine the status of either “another person” or “self.” This dharma can only be possessed and commanded by holy ones at the level of great Mahasattvas or higher. Therefore, no great dharma king or venerable one who is not an extremely great holy one can hold and practice this dharma. Even great dharma kings and great venerable ones at the level of Jiao Zun who have the ability of performing inner-tantric initiations do not have the qualification to hold and practice this dharma. Mo Zhi Jiao Zun said, “Although I have just entered the door of holding and performing inner-tantric initiations, I have not touched even the edge of the Dharma of Jin Gang Fa Man Ze Jue. Only a holy one who has the realization of performing holy inner-tantric initiations that are close to the level of state practice can perform the Dharma of Jin Gang Fa Man Ze Jue. Otherwise, one is merely dreaming and far away from doing it.”

Why was this dharma assembly held to determine the status of a Buddha by the Dharma of Jin Gang Fa Man Ze Jue? According to a writing describing the fact by the UIWBAH, the karmic condition rose from the fact that many Buddhists in the world wished to respectfully beseech the contrasting photos of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III showing His returning from an aged appearance to a youthful person three years ago. However, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III did not agree to that. He thought that these were just ordinary photos and were meaningless for people to have. The discussion lasted three years to 2015. The UIWBAH finally got the agreement from H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. His Holiness the Buddha donated the two photos of His to the UIWBAH free of charge with a requirement that the UIWBAH can only sell the photo at a low price to those who wish to get it and must not profit from selling the photo. At the end of October of 2015, the UIWBAH published the contrasting photos of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III showing His returning from an aged appearance to a youthful person to the world. This provided people with auspicious and magnificent feelings and abundant joy of Buddha-dharma.

Unfortunately, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III wrote a note for the photos and demanded it to be printed at the lower part of the photo sheet. The note mainly stated that He is an ordinary person like everyone else, He is not a holy person, He has no advantage over other people, He does not know the dharma of returning from an aged appearance to a youthful person, and what people saw was a temporary phenomenon due to a medicine given by an elder virtuous one. On the other hand, UIWBAH stated that many people witnessed the real fact that Wang Zha Shang Zun, who is an outstanding one among great dharma kings, publicly practiced a dharma of empowerment. After a short period of a little over 10 minutes, an elder person whose age was over 60 changed into an appearance of a person who was about 30 years old. Wang Zha Shang Zun used this demonstration to show the fact that the dharma of returning from an aged appearance to a youthful person does exist within the realm of Buddha-dharma. Wang Zha Shang Zun said, “My Buddha Master is the universe. I am only a small piece of stone. Even I can empower a cultivator to return from an aged appearance to a youthful person temporarily. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III’s realization is millions of times higher than mine. Can you believe that the Buddha Master is an ordinary person?”

Although Wang Zha Shang Zun made the above proof, the speech by His Holiness the Buddha saying that He is an ordinary person just like everyone else made many Buddhist disciples in the world, whose good roots and intelligence are not strong enough, hesitate and be at a loss. They are unsure, with pressure on their mind. All can tell that, in terms of science and causality, how can there exists any miraculous medicine that can completely change a person’s facial features in a short period of a little over 10 minutes? Furthermore, three years have already passed and there is still not even one winkle in H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III’s face. The skin and flesh on His face are clean and tender with a light ruddy complexion. His appearance is extremely beautiful, handsome, and majestic. Other than a Buddha, how can a Bodhisattva have such extremely beautiful magnificence and how can any medicine create such an effect? Additionally, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III’s accomplishments of perfect mastery in both exoteric Buddhism and esoteric Buddhism and at the acme of the Five Vidyas are unmatched and incomparable by any holy one throughout the history of Buddhism. Not even one can be found from looking through history, searching the internet, and exhaustive investigations! How could H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III not have advantage over others? Ordinary people do not bear any remote resemblance to H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. Then, how could H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III be an ordinary person? On the other hand, should we not listen to His Holiness the Buddha’s speech? Therefore, unintelligent and deluded people feel muddle-headed and do not know what is right.

Considering this situation of cultivators being pressured, the UIWBAH had discussions and decided to provide Buddhists a correct conclusion. For the sake of benefiting living beings, an action that may not respect His Holiness the Buddha has to be taken. Wang Zha Shang Zun, an extremely great holy one at the level of Golden Button Grade 3 or higher, took the lead to practice the Dharma of Jin Gang Fa Man Ze Jue to determine fundamentally whether the Buddha’s status is true or false. Many cultivators wish to know the situation of the dharma assembly that determined the Buddha’s status by the Dharma of Jin Gang Fa Man Ze Jue. The following is a report on that dharma assembly:

On September 5, 2015, the historic grand dharma assembly to determine the status of the Buddha using the Dharma of Jin Gang Fa Man Ze Jue began in a solemn and majestic scene. Wang Zha Shang Zun’s holy arrival was welcomed by Great Holy and Virtuous One Mo Zhi Jiao Zun, Chairman of the UIWBAH Dharma King Gar Tongstan, UIWBAH’s Secretary General Kai Chu Ru Zun, Chief Abbot of the International Buddhism Sangha Association Dharma Master Zhengda, Great Rinpoche Akou Lamo, and several dozens of eminent monks, rinpoches, and dharma masters who were to serve as observing witnesses. They held palms together to greet each other and were seated on the dharma rostrum.

To be fair, the decision by selection was first conducted to verify the status of Sakyamuni Buddha. The beseeching dharma document wrote, “We respectfully beseech a verification from the decision by selection. If Sakyamuni Buddha is truly a Buddha, a crown made by strands of hair will be put on the head. If not, there will be no crown.” First, a portrait of Sakyamuni Buddha was laid on an ordinary four-legged flat table of dark-brown color. Then, a pinch of sand from the Ganges River with the color of light camel wool was picked up and put on the portrait at a spot of hair at the top of the Buddha’s head. Wang Zha Shang Zun began to practice the dharma at a dharma rostrum which was about 13 feet away from the table. After the ritual of knocking the wood fish, ringing the bell, waving the Vajra, performing mudras, and chanting mantras, twelve documents written on yellow papers were burnt. All observing witnesses saw with their own eyes that the sand placed at the spot of hair at the top of the Buddha’s head began to disperse with inconceivable changes. Every grain of sand seemed to be alive. All sand grains moved individually with miraculous transformations to form a crown made of strands of hair, which very naturally and wonderfully stood up above the top of Sakyamuni Buddha’s head. A scene of adding a crown of strands of hair to the Buddha’s top-knot was manifested, proving that Sakyamuni Buddha is a true Buddha.

Immediately after and on the same table, the decision by selection was conducted for H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. The beseeching dharma document wrote, “We respectfully beseech a verification from the decision by selection. If H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is the incarnation of the primordial Sambhogakaya-Buddha Dorje Chang Buddha, a crown made by strands of hair will be put on the head. If not, there will be no crown.” Wang Zha Shang Zun practiced the dharma following exactly the same ritual as before. After the twelve documents were burnt, the sand of the Ganges River with the color of light camel wool that had been flatly put on the spot of hair at the top of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III’s head suddenly had the miraculous transformation of being elevated upward. Sand grains connected with each other to form strands of hair standing in the air. The strands of hair then automatically formed a crown of hair. A 3-dimensional crown was put on the head of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III in the portrait, proving that H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is a true Buddha coming to the world!

The last decision by selection was to verify whether the Sixth Patriarch Master Hui Neng was a Buddha’s nirmanakaya (meaning emanated body). The beseeching dharma document wrote, “We respectfully beseech a verification from the decision by selection. If the Sixth Patriarch Master Hui Neng is a Buddha’s nirmanakaya, a crown made by strands of hair will be put on the head. If not, there will be no crown.” As before, Wang Zha Shang Zun practiced the dharma following the same ritual and the twelve documents were burnt. Everyone saw that the sand of the Ganges River with the color of light camel wool placed at the top of Patriarch Master Hui Neng’s head had no movement or change at all. Therefore, the conclusion was that Patriarch Master Hui Neng was not a Buddha’s nirmanakaya. So a lower-level status had to be verified by the decision by selection, i.e. to determine whether Patriarch Master Hui Neng was an incarnation of a great Bodhisattva or not. The beseeching dharma document wrote, “We respectfully beseech a verification from the decision by selection. If the Sixth Patriarch Master Hui Neng is an incarnation of a great Bodhisattva, a crown made by strands of hair will be put on the head. If he was not at the level of a Bodhisattva, there will be no crown.” After Wang Zha Shang Zun practiced the dharma, a dharma crown was put on Master Hui Neng’s head. Sand grains formed a crown of hair. However, because Patriarch Master Hui Neng was not a Buddha or a Bodhisattva with universal or wonderful enlightenment, as stipulated by the dharma, the crown of hair did not stand up into the air and become a 3-dimensional crown, but was formed on a flat plane. However, it was very naturally structured and absolutely not something that can be made by humans.

The two sessions of the dharma assembly lasted more than five hours. To show the magnificence and extremely truthful nature of the crowning process through determination by the Dharma of Jin Gang Fa Man Ze Jue, each of the venerable ones, dharma kings, rinpoches, great dharma masters, dharma masters, great laypersons, and others attending the dharma assembly took a test to crown the visage using the sand from the Ganges River. As it turned out, none of the holy and virtuous ones present who are at the levels of Golden Button Grade 2, Golden Button Grade 1, and Blue Button Grade 3 were able to crown the Buddha’s portrait with sand from the Ganges River. There was no manifestation of power of Buddha-dharma to cause miraculous changes. This proved that the great dharma of Jin Gang Fa Man Ze Jue can only be practiced by extremely great holy and virtuous ones at the level of Golden Button Grade 3 or higher. No one else possesses the realization to practice the dharma successfully.

Wang Zha Shang Zun was very dissatisfied with himself for the first session. He said that his cultivation was shallow and lacked merit and virtue and that his own karmic forces caused him not to practice this dharma of decision by selection perfectly. The reality was that a few people in the observing crowd had their karmic forces become visible during the dharma assembly. They caused disturbance in the Buddha hall when they could not control their excitement upon seeing holy states. They shouted loudly and pushed others. Such disrespect toward the holy dharma kept the outcome from being completely perfect. For this reason, Wang Zha Shang Zun decided to hold a second session of the dharma assembly. Before the second dharma assembly started, Dharma King Gar Tongstan made the rules on behalf of Wang Zha Shang Zun. He announced that onlookers could get closer to watch but no one was allowed to speak loudly or push others. All must have the mind focusing on being respectful before moving closer. Then Wang Zha Shang Zun practiced the dharma. The second dharma assembly had a perfect success with extremely magnificent manifestations, proving again that Sakyamuni Buddha is a true Buddha and H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is the incarnation of the primordial Sambhogakaya-Buddha Dorje Chang Buddha. In the process, the sand of the Ganges River of the light camel wool color placed at the top of the head exhibited unimaginably miraculous transformation. A lose-hair crown changed into a head-covering crown and a thick-hair crown changed into a thin-hair crown. The strands of hair gathered or separated as required at different places to knit into a naturally perfect crown. Every sand grain had its own independent life. Some walked extremely fast; some wandered around casually; some followed twisted paths; some traveled past the boundary and then came back; and some climbed from the bottom to the top. The sand grains followed each other one by one to form strands of hair that stood into the air without falling. Eventually, a knot was formed to create a perfect crown for the Sambhogakaya-Buddha. Then, Wang Zha Shang Zun snapped a finger to perform a mudra and the strands of hair fell into a pile of sand with no trace left of the crown. Wang Zha Shang Zun issued a dharma decree to distribute the sand of the Ganges River (which became Vajra Sand after the dharma was performed) to all who were present. Every attendee received a share of the Vajra Sand that manifested the holy crown worn by the genuine incarnation of the Buddha.

The situation at the time was that the dharma was practiced with the same table, at the same position, following the same ritual, and using the same sand of the Ganges River. However, the three hair crowns created were completely different. There was one Bodhisattva two-dimensional crown and there were two Buddha hair crowns that were three-dimensional and stood into the air. The latter two were also different from each other in terms of shape and structure.

All attendees on the dharma assembly on that day took an oath to testify for the above reported true facts, “We all attended the dharma assembly for determining the status of the Buddha by the Dharma of Jin Gang Fa Man Ze Jue as practiced by Wang Zha Shang Zun. We clearly understand and believe in the law of cause and effect. What was stated above is true and without any false statement. If we lied to deceive people, we not only will not become accomplished but also will descend into the three lower realms to undergo extremely miserable suffering. If what was stated above is all true, we wish and pray that all living beings be able to learn the true dharma of the Tathagata from H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and Sakyamuni Buddha, attain perfect good fortune and wisdom, and become accomplished and liberated to benefit countless living beings.”
